Mouse Acceleration Fix?

Mouse Acceleration Fix?

Post by Spuzaw on Tue May 13, 2014 12:08 am

I've been hoping for years that there would be a fix for the mouse acceleration in Halo PC. The "mouse_acceleration" command doesn't do anything and I've tried every possible thing to remove it. So I figured I'd post here in the hopes that maybe there's something that can be done about it.

Heck, I'd even pay for a fix. I love this game so much but the mouse acceleration really makes it hard for me to enjoy playing it.

Interesting, the mouse_acceleration command worked for me. If anyone else is having a problem with the mouse moving too fast, try the console command "mouse_acceleration 0".

If you want it to execute every time that you start Halo then create a text file in the Halo directory, I called mine "halocmds.txt", and put the "mouse_acceleration 0" line in there. Then add to your Halo command line: " -exec halocmds.txt".

Are you sure it works for you? I have it set to "0" and it changes nothing.

Here's a video that shows the problem: http://youtu.be/FqOhkcoxe54

You may be right. I was making a lot of changes at that time, including changing my mouse settings and mouse resolution. I may have fooled myself into thinking the mouse_acceleration is what fixed it.

This worked for me and everyone else I know. Install this http://donewmouseaccel.blogspot.com/2010/03/markc-windows-7-mouse-acceleration-fix.html

Once that is done load up Halo and you should be good to go. For the best accuracy, play on 1 sensitivity in game, and adjust your dpi from there.

I just tried that along with the mouse.cfg and it doesn't work for me either.   Crying or Very sad I don't think it is possible to remove the acceleration.
